In anticipation of the festive rush, the Railways will operate 13 pairs of special trains. These trains will make 282 additional trips across various routes through the end of November. Booking for these trains began on September 19.

To accommodate the surge in passenger traffic, the Railways has decided to run 13 pairs of special trains. These trains will complete 282 additional trips on various routes up to the end of November. Bookings for these trains opened on September 19, 2026.

These special trains are expected to provide relief to passengers traveling to and from several states, including UP, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh. If you plan to travel during the festive period, it would be beneficial to check the train numbers and dates in advance.

These 13 pairs of special trains will run until November:

• 02200/02199 Banda Terminus–Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi: Train 02200 will run until November 28, 2026, and Train 02199 until November 26, 2026.
• 04140/04139 Dadar–Prayagraj: Train 04140 will run until November 29, 2026, and Train 04139 until November 27, 2026.
• 04176/04175 Dadar–Subedarganj: Service 04176 will run until November 24, 2026, and Service 04175 until November 22, 2026.
• 01908/01907 Udhna–Agra Cantt: Train 01908 will run until November 25, 2026, and Train 01907 until November 24, 2026. 04106/04105 Udhna–Prayagraj: Service 04106 will run until November 30, 2026, and service 04105 until November 29, 2026.
• 04156/04155 Udhna–Subedarganj: Train 04156 will run every Tuesday and Friday from October 20 to November 27, while train 04155 will run on Mondays and Thursdays from October 19 to November 26.
• 04120/04119 Valsad–Subedarganj: Service 04120 will run until November 29, 2026, and service 04119 until November 28, 2026.

Special trains will also continue on these routes:

• 04178/04177 Valsad–Subedarganj: Train 04178 will run until November 25, 2026, and train 04177 until November 24, 2026.
• 01909/01910 Asarva–Agra Cantt: Service 01909 will run until November 24, 2026, and service 01910 until November 23, 2026.
• 04180/04179 Sabarmati–Prayagraj: Train 04180 will run from October 4 to November 29, 2026, and train 04179 from October 3 to November 28, 2026.
• 01906/01905 Asarva–Kanpur Central: Service 01906 will run until December 1, 2026, and service 01905 until November 30, 2026.
• 04170/04169 Indore–Subedarganj: Train 04170 will run until November 28, 2026, and train 04169 until November 27, 2026. 04174/04173 Veraval–Prayagraj: Service 04174 will operate until November 27, and service 04173 until November 26, 2026.

Changes to the Prayagraj–Sabarmati Special

Changes have also been made regarding the special train running between Prayagraj and Sabarmati. Due to platform-related constraints at Gandhinagar station, the terminal for the Prayagraj–Gandhinagar bi-weekly special has been altered. This service will now operate between Prayagraj and Sabarmati under train numbers 04179/04180, replacing the 04111/04112 service.

04179: Will depart from Prayagraj at 4:00 PM and arrive at Sabarmati at 3:40 PM the next day.
04180: Will depart from Sabarmati at 5:45 PM.
