UP Train Cancellation News: There is significant news for travelers heading to Uttar Pradesh. Due to repair work on the bridge spanning the River Ganga between Kanpur and Unnao, several trains have been cancelled from April 2 to May 13.

UP Train Cancellation News: Every day, millions of people across the country travel by train to reach their destinations. However, if you are planning to travel on a route through Uttar Pradesh in the coming days, this news is crucial for you. Repair work is set to commence on the railway bridge over the River Ganga, situated between Kanpur and Unnao. Consequently, rail traffic on this route will be severely disrupted from April 2 to May 13. Therefore, if you intend to undertake a journey in the days ahead, please ensure you check the complete details regarding these trains.

Railways Imposes 'Mega Block'

During this 42-day 'Mega Block' period, the Railways have completely cancelled 14 trains. Additionally, the routes of 31 trains have been diverted, and the timings of 10 trains have been rescheduled. As a result, train passengers may face significant inconvenience. Due to the repair work on the Ganga Bridge at Shuklaganj, the Railways will implement a daily block of eight hours—from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM—on the 'Down Line' (running from Kanpur to Lucknow). New sleepers (specifically, H-beam type sleepers) are to be installed on this line. Therefore, before leaving your home, please make it a point to check the current status of your train.
