With the onset of winter in the country, the Railways have taken a major decision. Due to dense fog, several long-distance trains will be temporarily cancelled from December 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026. This includes the Jalandhar-Delhi Superfast Express on the Saharanpur-Delhi route, which will remain suspended until March 1, 2026.

The Railways states that this step has been taken with safety in mind. Alternative arrangements are being made for passenger convenience.
