However, if you or another passenger fall ill during the journey, there is no need to panic; Indian Railways prioritizes passenger well-being and promptly provides the necessary facilities for assistance. Therefore, it is important to know what to do in such a situation.
Inform the TTE
In the event of any medical emergency, the TTE (Travelling Ticket Examiner) should be informed immediately. You can also alert the train staff and coach attendants, as they are equipped with first-aid facilities and can immediately initiate the process to secure further medical help. Informing them right away can be extremely helpful.

You will also be asked for details regarding the train number, coach, and seat number.

If a passenger's condition becomes critical, the Railways alerts a doctor at the upcoming station in advance to ensure the patient receives prompt treatment.
