Indian Railways: If you are planning to travel by train, this news is for you. Due to ongoing construction work at Lucknow Railway Station, the routes of several trains have been diverted until June 4, and some trains will not make a scheduled stop at Lucknow station.

Indian Railways: If you are planning a train journey, this news is essential for you. Temporary changes have been made to the routes of several trains due to ongoing concourse construction work at Lucknow Railway Station. The Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) is constructing a concourse at Northern Railway’s Lucknow station; consequently, a traffic and power block has been implemented.

This arrangement will remain in effect until June 4. The railway administration has appealed to passengers to strictly check their train’s status before commencing their journey, as several trains will not be halting at Lucknow station.

Which trains have had their routes changed?

According to North Eastern Railway, the 15074 Tanakpur-Singrauli Express will run via the Alamnagar–Transport Nagar–Utretia route on June 3. Similarly, the 15076 Tanakpur-Shaktinagar Express will pass through this same route on June 4. Additionally, the 15075 Shaktinagar-Tanakpur Express will operate via the Utretia–Transport Nagar–Alamnagar route on June 3.

The 15119 Banaras-Dehradun Express will also utilize a diverted route until June 4. It is important to note that none of these trains will make a scheduled stop at Lucknow station. However, for the convenience of passengers, additional halts will be provided at Alamnagar and Utretia stations.

Several Trains on the Gorakhpur Route Also Affected

Due to the power block, the routes of several trains originating from Gorakhpur have also been altered. On June 3, the 12571 Gorakhpur-Anand Vihar Terminal Express will run via the Barabanki–Malhaur–Aishbagh–Kanpur Central route. Meanwhile, the 12555 Gorakhpur-Bathinda Express will operate via this diverted route until June 4.

Additionally, the 22412 Anand Vihar Terminal-Naharlagun Express will run via the Manak Nagar-Aishbagh-Malhaur route on June 4. Furthermore, the 15066 Panvel-Gorakhpur Express and the 11123 Gwalior-Barauni Express will also operate via diverted routes on June 3 and 4.

Impact on the Dibrugarh-Lalgarh Express

In addition, the 15909 Dibrugarh-Lalgarh Express will operate via the Burhwal-Sitapur-Shahjahanpur route on June 3. During this period, the train will not make scheduled stops at Barabanki, Lucknow, Balamau, and Hardoi stations. However, as a measure of relief—and keeping passenger convenience in mind—the Railways has decided to provide additional stops for this train at Burhwal and Sitapur stations.

Verify Details Before Traveling

It is important to note that the Railway administration has announced that, due to ongoing construction work at Lucknow station, operational changes have been implemented for several trains. Consequently, passengers are advised to check the status and route details of their trains before arriving at the station, to ensure they do not face any inconvenience upon reaching the station.
