Access to food has now become easier, even on those trains where this facility was previously unavailable. Through this digital service provided by IRCTC, passengers can book their meals in advance.

This facility is directly integrated with the ticket booking platform, allowing you to arrange for your meals with great ease even before your journey begins.

The Simple Process for Ordering Food Online on a Train

Using the E-Pantry service is very simple. First, you can select the E-Pantry option while booking your ticket on the official IRCTC website. Even if you forget to do so initially, you can still order your food later by visiting the "Booked Ticket History" section.

After booking your meal, you will receive a Meal Verification Code (MVC) via SMS or email, which serves as a confirmation of your order. This code ensures that your order is accurate and has been reserved specifically for you.

On the day of your journey, simply show this MVC to the pantry staff. Subsequently, your ordered meal or *Rail Neer* (packaged drinking water) will be delivered directly to your seat, ensuring that you enjoy a convenient and comfortable dining experience throughout your journey.
