Train Cancellation Update: The Railways have cancelled 14 trains scheduled for April. This move is expected to cause inconvenience to passengers across Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, and Delhi.

Train Cancellations in April: April has arrived, bringing with it important news for passengers planning to travel by train. Indian Railways has decided to temporarily cancel several trains operating on the Bilaspur–Raipur route under the South East Central Railway (SECR) zone, a decision that could cause disruption for travelers across multiple states.

The Railways are currently undertaking extensive repair and development work along this route. Platform repairs and track improvement work are underway at Gondia Station, necessitating the temporary closure of the main line. Additionally, work is in progress to lay a new line in the Jharsuguda section and to modernize the yard at Akaltara Station. These ongoing projects have resulted in disruptions to train operations.

Which States Will Be Affected by the Train Cancellations?

The impact of this decision will not be limited solely to Chhattisgarh. Passengers in Maharashtra, West Bengal, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, and Delhi may also face inconvenience, as several major trains connecting these states have been cancelled.

The Railways have cancelled a total of 14 trains on various dates between April 5 and April 24. This list includes 10 Express trains and 4 Passenger trains. Some of the major trains affected include the Shalimar–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express, Korba–Amritsar Chhattisgarh Express, Hazrat Nizamuddin–Raigarh Gondwana Express, Gyaneshwari Express, and Visakhapatnam–Hazrat Nizamuddin Express.
