Train Cancellations: If you are planning to travel by train in July, please note that several trains have been cancelled and the routes of others have been altered due to yard remodeling work at Lalitpur station in the Jhansi Division.

Train Cancellations: Indian Railways is known as the lifeline of the nation. Millions of people reach their destinations by train every day. However, the Railways sometimes have to cancel trains for various reasons. Passengers can face significant inconvenience if they are not informed about these changes.

If you are planning to travel by train in July, this news is relevant to you. Several trains have been cancelled or rerouted due to yard remodeling work at Lalitpur station in the Jhansi Division. According to the Railways, technical work will be carried out at Lalitpur station from July 1 (today) until August 1, 2026.

Many trains will be diverted to alternative routes.

This includes 34 express and special trains that will operate via different routes:

New Delhi-Hyderabad
Hyderabad-Hazrat Nizamuddin
Dr. Ambedkar Nagar-Prayagraj
Visakhapatnam-New Delhi
Ahmedabad-Saharsa
Yesvantpur-Hazrat Nizamuddin
Tirupati-Jammu Tawi
Jabalpur-Hazrat Nizamuddin
Chennai-New Delhi
Amritsar-Bilaspur
Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Ayodhya Cantt, among others.

Additionally, some trains will be operated with brief halts at various stations within the Jhansi Division. Consequently, passengers may face delays.

Which trains are cancelled?

Six trains have been cancelled on scheduled dates due to the yard remodeling work.

These include:

  1. Lucknow City–SMVT Bengaluru
  2. Hubballi–Yog Nagari Rishikesh
  3. Bina–Lalitpur Passenger
  4. Bhopal–Khajuraho Express

The Railways has appealed to passengers to periodically check the latest status of their trains to avoid any inconvenience. Passengers can also call the railway helpline number to get updates on the current status of their trains.
