Train Cancellations: Passengers should note that train operations will be affected due to non-interlocking work for "patch doubling" on the Gorakhpur Cantt-Unaula rail section of the Varanasi Division.

Train Cancellations: After securing a confirmed ticket, most passengers assume they simply need to reach the station on the day of travel, and the train will take them to their destination on time. However, the Railways sometimes cancel trains or alter their routes due to essential maintenance or operational work. A lack of timely information regarding such changes can cause significant inconvenience to passengers.

If you are planning to travel by train in the coming days, please be aware that non-interlocking work for patch doubling is scheduled on the Gorakhpur Cantt-Unaula rail section (Varanasi Division). Consequently, several trains will be cancelled, and others will be diverted via alternate routes. A traffic block will be in effect for this purpose from July 16 to July 21.

Trains to be diverted via alternate routes:

On July 21, the 14617 Purnia Court-Amritsar Express will run via Varanasi, Barabanki, Ayodhya Cantt, Chhapra, Roza, and Lucknow.
This train will not stop at stations including Siwan, Gorakhpur, Gonda, Basti, Deoria Sadar, and Burhwal.
The 15212 Amritsar-Darbhanga Express, scheduled for July 19 and 20, will also run via an alternate route.
Instead of its usual route, this train will travel via Roza, Lucknow, Barabanki, Ayodhya Cantt, Varanasi, Chhapra, and Muzaffarpur.
This train will not halt at stations such as Gorakhpur, Basti, Sitapur, Bapudham Motihari, Gonda, Bettiah, and Narkatiaganj.

Railways Cancels These Trains

Train numbers 15567/15568 (Bapudham Motihari–Anand Vihar Terminus Motihari Express) have been cancelled.
This train will not operate from Bapudham Motihari on July 21 or from Anand Vihar Terminus on July 22.
