Train Cancellations Today: A 60-day mega block is in effect at Bina Junction for yard remodeling. This will affect 344 trains; many will be cancelled, while others will see changes to their routes and timings. Train speeds will increase once the work is completed.

Latest Update on Train Cancellations: Here is an important update for passengers boarding or traveling via Bina Junction in the Sagar district of Madhya Pradesh. Major work at the station will impact train operations for approximately the next 60 days. Many trains will be cancelled, some routes will be diverted, and the schedules of several trains have been revised.

Passengers can look forward to better and faster rail services following this period of disruption. The Railways has implemented a mega block of about 60 days for this project, affecting around 344 trains passing through Bina Junction. A total of 170 trips across 16 trains have been cancelled; affected trains include services to Gwalior, Bhopal, Bengaluru, and Damoh, as well as the Rajya Rani Bhopal Express.

Additionally, the routes of 48 trains have been altered. Twelve trains will be terminated before reaching their scheduled destination, while six trains will originate from Malkhedi station instead of Bina. The timings of 21 trains that usually stop at Bina have also been revised.

Work to be carried out in three phases

The Railways will connect the third rail line coming from the Agasod direction to Bina station. The entire project will be executed in three phases: 'Pre to Pre-NI' (Non-Interlocking), followed by 'Pre-NI', and finally the 'NI' work itself. The deadline for completion is set for October 15, though this may be extended if the work is not finished on time.

As part of the yard remodeling, the Railways will undertake a total of 69 upgrades. The loop line at Platform No. 3 will be converted into a third main line, allowing trains on this track to operate at the standard speeds maintained on main lines. Speed to Increase from 15 to 30 km/h

Currently, the speed of trains within the Bina yard is around 15 km/h. Once the work is completed, this will increase to 30 km/h. Additionally, there will be less need to halt trains at the outer signal or at a red signal, allowing them to be brought directly onto the platforms. The impact of the mega block might be felt more acutely during the festive season.

Many people from the Bundelkhand region reside in other cities and states for employment, returning home for occasions such as Raksha Bandhan, Janmashtami, Ganesh Utsav, and Durga Puja. Train cancellations or diversions could make their journeys more expensive and difficult.

Check Train Status Before Traveling

Be sure to check the status of your train before setting out on your journey. Head to the station only after verifying details regarding any cancellations, route changes, or schedule adjustments.
