Train Cancellations: Indian Railways has significantly simplified the lives of the public. However, several railway routes are currently being impacted due to ongoing track maintenance and construction work. Here are the details.

Prayagraj Yard Remodeling: While Indian Railways has, on one hand, made life easier for people, there are times when these very operations land travelers in difficult situations. For instance, yard remodeling work is currently underway at Prayagraj Station. Consequently, numerous trains have been cancelled, while the routes of several others have been diverted. If you are planning to travel along the Prayagraj route in the coming days, please exercise caution. We provide you with the list of trains that have been cancelled and those whose routes have been altered.

Daily-Operating Trains

The following trains, which pass through Prayagraj, operate on a daily basis; their routes have been diverted to facilitate their continued operation. View the list below:

  • Anand Vihar Terminal–Jogbani (12488): On April 30, this train will run via Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Varanasi, and Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya.
  • Kamakhya–Anand Vihar Terminal (12505): On April 29, this train will run via Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, Varanasi, Lucknow, and Kanpur Central.
  • Anand Vihar Terminal–Kamakhya (12506): On April 30, this train will run via Kanpur Central, Lucknow, Varanasi, and Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya.

List of Trains Operating on Specific Days of the Week

  • Certain trains operate only on specific days of the week—namely Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. View the list of these trains below:
  • Anand Vihar Terminal–Puri (12816): On April 30, this train will be diverted away from the Mirzapur route and will instead run directly via Kanpur Central, Lucknow, and Varanasi. The Barmer-Howrah (12324) train, departing from Kanpur Central on Wednesdays and Saturdays, will pass through Mirzapur.
  • The Lokmanya Tilak-Ballia (11071 and 11072) train will operate via Janghai, Lucknow, Kanpur Central, Bhimsen, Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi, and Bina on April 29.
  • Track upgrade work is currently underway at Unnao Railway Station, necessitating all these changes. Trains will continue to be diverted via alternative routes for the duration of this work. If you plan to travel on these routes in the near future, please consult this list in advance and schedule your journey accordingly.
