Traffic will be disrupted on several roads in Delhi and Noida today. In Delhi, construction work at the Palam railway crossing will impact the movement of millions of people in Dwarka, Delhi Cantt, Dhaula Kuan, and other areas. Meanwhile, in Noida and Greater Noida, VIP movement will cause partial disruption and diversion of traffic from the Delhi-DND flyover to Pari Chowk via Vishwakarma Marg in the afternoon. The Delhi Traffic Police and Noida Traffic Police have issued an advisory for the public. We are providing detailed information about where traffic will be affected in Delhi and Noida today. We are also advising you on alternative routes to avoid inconvenience and congestion.

Where will traffic be disrupted in Delhi?
Due to construction work at the Palam railway crossing, the Delhi Traffic Police has implemented a large-scale traffic diversion for three months. According to officials, this construction work has been ongoing since November 3rd and will continue for the next three months. This will impact the movement of millions of commuters traveling to and from Dwarka, Palam, Delhi Cantt, and Dhaula Kuan.

What is the new traffic plan? Where should people travel?

According to the advisory, vehicles traveling from Dwarka to Delhi Cantt or Dhaula Kuan have been instructed to use the Palam-Dwarka flyover.

Motors traveling from Mangla Puri to Delhi Cantt/Dhaula Kuan have been advised to take the Palam flyover via Parshuram Chowk to reduce pressure on the closed railway crossing.

Alternative routes have been established for those traveling from Palam Colony to the Palam flyover road via Parshuram Chowk, Mangla Puri, and Bhagat Chandra Hospital Chowk.

Heavy vehicles have been instructed to avoid the Palam area altogether and use the Ring Road and NH-48 to avoid traffic jams in residential areas.

Delhi Traffic Police Advisory
The Delhi Traffic Police have appealed to the public to avoid the affected routes as much as possible and plan their travel. To reduce congestion and pollution, they are advised to prioritize public transportation and follow the instructions of traffic personnel deployed on the spot to ensure smooth traffic flow even on routes with limited capacity.
