Toll Plaza Removed on This Highway; Vehicles to Move Non-Stop Starting Tomorrow
Toll Plaza Rule: The NHAI has implemented a new rule for the convenience of travelers; starting tomorrow, August 1st, there will be no need to stop the vehicle to pay the toll on this route.
Toll Plaza Rule: Do you travel on highways and find yourself having to stop midway to pay tolls? Often, vehicles face long queues at toll plazas, leading to significant delays and wasted time. If you travel on the Delhi-Jaipur highway, there is good news for you. The NHAI has introduced a new system that eliminates the need to stop for toll payments on this route.
What changes are taking place tomorrow?
The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has implemented a multi-lane free-flow tolling system on the Delhi-Jaipur NH-48. Under this new system, there will be no barriers at the toll plazas. Starting tomorrow—August 1st—you will not need to stop to pay the toll on this route, as the payment will be processed automatically.
Where has this new system been introduced?
This new system has currently been launched at two toll plazas:
Manoharpura Toll Plaza
Daulatpura Toll Plaza
Subsequently, the Shahjahanpur Toll Plaza will also be integrated into this new system.
Toll payment without stopping
You might be wondering how the toll payment will happen automatically. This new technology utilizes FASTag and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) cameras. As soon as a vehicle passes through the toll plaza, the camera will read the vehicle's number plate, and the toll will be automatically deducted via FASTag.
Things to do before hitting the highway
If you are planning to travel on this route, keep a few important points in mind:
Ensure there is a sufficient balance in your FASTag account. Additionally, the FASTag must be correctly affixed to the vehicle.
If you notice any issues with the toll deduction, lodge a complaint immediately.
Also, ensure your vehicle's number plate is clean so that it can be easily read.
Make sure to check whether your FASTag is active.
It is important to keep all these points in mind.
What happens if the FASTag does not work?
If, for any reason, the vehicle's FASTag fails to work and the vehicle passes through the toll plaza without the toll being deducted, the payment process will be completed using the number plate. This new technology will save a significant amount of time for drivers, eliminating the need to wait in long queues.
