With the help of the Delhi State Legal Services Authority, Lok Adalats will be held in 7 district courts of Delhi, in which you will be able to get your challan waived easily. This court is being set up to settle the challans pending in the court for a long time.
This is how the challenges will be forgiven.
For this, you will have to download the slip of the pending challan from the link given on the website of Delhi Traffic Police. The court will be able to give its verdict on your challan only based on this slip. If this slip is not available, you will not be able to take advantage of this court. If your challan is Rs 1000, then you can apologize to the court and appeal for a lenient approach. The court can reduce the challan to Rs 500 or Rs 200 at its discretion. Your challenge can also be forgiven in full. However, it completely depends on the discretion of the judge. The evening court works like a regular court, in which the duty of judicial magistrate is imposed every month.

According to the traffic police, the target has been set to settle the pending challans of a total of 1 lakh 80 thousand in this Lok Adalat. To download the challan slip, you have to visit the Delhi Traffic Police website https://traffic.delhipolice.gov.in/notice/lokadalat. Let us tell you that this court will be held in Rohini, Saket, Karkardooma, Patiala House, Dwarka, Tis Hazari and Rouse Avenue Court of Delhi. In these, only those challan cases will be settled which were pending in the virtual court till 30 November 2024. The time of Lok Adalat will be from 10 am to 4 pm.
