The Gujarat Police Recruitment Board has announced the application deadline for the Police Sub-Inspector (PSI) and Constable Recruitment Exam 2025. Candidates who have been waiting for this recruitment exam for a long time now have very little time left to apply. Interested candidates can apply online until December 23rd, 2025.

The application process for the Gujarat Police Recruitment is completely online. Candidates must apply by visiting the Gujarat government's official website, ojas.gujarat.gov.in. The board has clarified that no applications will be accepted after the deadline, so it is important to complete the form on time.

How many posts are there in the PSI cadre?

A total of 858 posts will be recruited under the Police Sub-Inspector cadre. This includes posts in various categories.

659 posts have been reserved for Unarmed Police Sub-Inspectors.

129 posts have been reserved for Armed Police Sub-Inspectors.

In addition, 70 posts for Group-2 Jailers are also included in the Prison Department.

Bumper Recruitment in the Constable Cadre

A large number of recruitments are being made this time in the Constable cadre. Candidates will be selected for a total of 12,733 posts. There are 6,942 posts for Unarmed Police Constables. 2,458 posts for Armed Police Sub-Constables. There are 3,002 posts for Armed Police Sub-Constables (SRPF). 300 posts for male Jail Constables and 31 posts for female Jail Constables, i.e., Matrons, have been included.

What should be the educational qualification?

The Gujarat Police Recruitment Board (GPS) has educational qualifications based on the position. For the post of Police Sub-Inspector, a candidate must have completed graduation from a recognized university.

For the post of Constable, a candidate must have passed the 12th standard. The Board has clarified that candidates must upload all relevant documents to prove their qualifications correctly when applying.

Age Limit

The minimum age for this recruitment is 18 years old. The maximum age limit is 33 years old. However, reserved category candidates will be given age relaxation as per government regulations. Age will be calculated based on the prescribed cut-off date.

How will the Selection Process Work?

The selection process for the Gujarat Police Recruitment Board (GPS) will be conducted in several stages. First, candidates will have to undergo a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and a Physical Measurement Test (PST).

Following this, a written examination will be conducted. The documents of successful candidates in the written examination will be verified. Candidates who complete all stages will be finally selected.

Salary:

Selected candidates will receive an attractive salary. Candidates selected for the position of Police Sub-Inspector will receive a salary ranging from ₹29,200 to ₹92,300 per month. The pay scale for the position of Constable ranges from ₹21,700 to ₹69,100 per month.
