This railway app will be discontinued from March 1, 2026, and tickets will no longer be booked; bookings will now be made available here..
The Ministry of Railways is planning to discontinue the UTS ticket booking app. Launched on December 27, 2014, the UTS mobile app allows passengers to book season tickets, platform tickets, and unreserved tickets. This feature is now available on another app.
Continuing to use the UTS app is a loss-making proposition. If you were previously using this app for general and platform tickets, it will be discontinued from March 1.
You can also book general and platform tickets through RailOne.
Existing IRCTC or UTS credentials can be used to sign in to the RailOne app. Southern Railway stated that by bringing booking, tracking, food service, and complaint resolution under one roof, RailOne significantly reduces effort, saves time, and improves the overall passenger experience.
During the initial phase of the UTS app shutdown, season ticket booking and renewal, and new user registration were discontinued. Platform ticket booking and R-Wallet top-up were subsequently discontinued, although the app remains available in the App Store.
According to railway officials, the "One App, All Services" concept is being implemented to make digital services more convenient and uniform. The RailOne app will provide a single window for reserved ticket booking, unreserved ticket booking, platform ticket booking, train information, live status, complaint registration, and other passenger services.
Appeal to Download the RailOne App
The railway administration has urged passengers to download the "RailOne" app and familiarize themselves with it before March 1st. It has been stated that the railway will provide guidelines and a helpdesk to avoid any inconvenience during the transition.
Overall, there will be a major change in the railway's digital services, and the UTS app will be phased out. Now everyone's attention is on how effective the 'RailOne' super app proves to be and how convenient it is for the passengers.
