PM Internship Scheme: Under the PM Internship Scheme, the youth of the country will get a chance to work as an intern in top-500 companies for 12 months. For this, money will also be given in exchange for work every month.
This scheme was announced by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman during her budget speech on 23 July last year. Minister of State for Corporate Affairs Harsh Malhotra recently told the Lok Sabha that so far 28,141 candidates have got internship opportunities under this scheme. The internship program will be of 12 months.
The age of those applying for this scheme should be between 21 to 24 years. Also, it is also to be kept in mind that the candidate should not be a full-time employee in any organization or company.
For this, it is mandatory to have passed at least tenth. Apart from this, candidates having certificate from any Industrial Training Institute (ITI), diploma from any polytechnic institute or graduation degree like BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma can also apply for this.

Under this, the youth of the country will be given an opportunity to do internship in top-500 companies so that along with getting work experience, they can also understand how to face challenges in practical life. The target of the central government is to give internship opportunity to 1 crore youth within 5 years under this scheme.

There are many other benefits of internship like after the first joining, you will get a lump sum of Rs 6000. Apart from this, a stipend of Rs 5000 will also be given every month. Out of this, Rs 4500 will be paid by the government and the remaining Rs 500 will be released by the companies from their CSR fund. However, the company can also pay more than Rs 500 to the intern. It will depend on their work, company policy, attendance, behavior.
Before applying, it should also be kept in mind that the annual income of the applicant's family should not be more than 8 lakhs and neither the parents nor the husband-wife nor he himself is in any government job. You should not be doing regular studies or job from anywhere. The documents required to apply should include Secondary School Certificate, Higher Secondary Certificate, ITI Diploma or Polytechnic Diploma degree or Graduation degree.
