This Government to Provide ₹1 Lakh for Daughters' Higher Education and UPSC Selection

Big Boost for Daughters' Education in Uttar Pradesh
The Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh has introduced a new initiative aimed at supporting the education of daughters of outsourcing employees. As per the proposed draft, the state government will grant ₹1 lakh to these daughters for pursuing higher education or upon clearing the UPSC main examination.
Government’s Plan for Outsourced Employees' Families
To enhance the benefits provided to outsourcing employees, the UP government is setting up the Outsource Service Corporation, which will not only improve job security but also extend support to their families. Under this initiative:
-
₹1 lakh financial aid will be provided to daughters of Class IV outsourcing employees if they secure admission into medical, education, MTech, IIT, IIM, PhD programs, or clear the UPSC main examination.
-
Children of outsourced employees qualifying for foreign universities will also receive ₹1 lakh as an incentive.
-
The government is planning to introduce a reservation policy for these children in MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing courses.
Special Reservation Under Consideration
Currently, OBC, SC, ST, and economically weaker sections (EWS) benefit from reservation in educational institutions. However, the government is deliberating on whether to provide a separate quota for children of outsourced employees or to include them under existing reservation categories.
This initiative marks a significant step toward ensuring better educational opportunities for the children of outsourced employees in Uttar Pradesh. Further official details and implementation plans are expected soon.
