Project Overview

The Uttar Pradesh government has organized several investment road shows to attract investment in the project related to the upcoming film city to be built in the Yamuna Expressway Authority area. Last year, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself went to Mumbai to meet prominent personalities in the film industry.

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced that work on the Noida International Film City project is expected to start in the next six months. Film producer Boney Kapoor and real estate developer Ashish Bhutani are working on this project. A consortium called 'Bayview Projects' has been formed for this. On Thursday this week, Bayview Projects signed an agreement with the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) for the development of the film city.

7.5 lakh people to benefit

According to a statement issued by the state government, the construction of the film city will create employment opportunities for 50,000 people in the state and neighboring states. Additionally, it will indirectly provide employment opportunities to about five to seven lakh people. Within three years, the film city will facilitate film shooting and other related activities. The government says the project aims to fulfill the aspirations of the state's residents seeking opportunities in the film industry. Also, it aims to provide an alternative to film hubs in Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai, especially in northern India.
