For some time now, global gas supply markets have witnessed instability, the impact of which has also been felt in the domestic LPG sector. For this reason, the government is now actively promoting PNG in regions where the necessary pipeline infrastructure has already been established. PNG is not only considered a safer option but can also prove to be a more economical and convenient alternative in the long run.

How to Check PNG Availability Using Your Smartphone

You can easily check whether Piped Natural Gas (PNG) facilities are available in your locality using a mobile app. To do this, first download the app for your city's specific gas provider—such as Indraprastha Gas Limited, Mahanagar Gas Limited, or Adani Total Gas Limited—from the Google Play Store. Once the app is open, navigate to options such as "New PNG Connection" or "Check Availability," and enter your area's PIN code or your full address.

After submitting your details, the app will instantly inform you whether PNG services are available in your area. If the service is available, you can apply for a new connection directly through the app; if it is not available, a message indicating "Not Available" or "Coming Soon" will be displayed.

Different Platforms for Different Cities

Residents of the Delhi-NCR region can visit the website of their respective gas provider and enter their colony's details within the "Domestic PNG" section. If your specific area appears in the list, you can immediately proceed to apply for a new connection. The same procedure applies to residents of Mumbai and its surrounding areas, where availability can be checked by visiting the 'Customer Zone' section on the website and entering the relevant PIN code. Furthermore, for other cities across the country, one must visit the websites of various gas providers and fill in their area details within the registration section. In some cities, private companies also offer PNG services, for which applications can be submitted through the 'New Connection' option.
