And Chief Minister Rekha Gupta has announced to start smart card in place of pink slip for free travel. This smart card is also being called Saheli Smart Card. These women do not have Saheli Smart Card

Now, women in Delhi must have a pink slip to travel free in buses. Women who do not have a pink slip are fined. But now if women want to travel free in Delhi's DTC buses, they will have to get a smart card. The name of this card is Saheli Smart Card. Let us tell you that some eligibility criteria have been set by the government for this.

Only those women who fulfill these eligibility criteria will be issued Saheli Smart Card. Let us tell you that Saheli Smart Card will not be issued to those women who do not have an Aadhaar card with a Delhi address. Apart from this, even if a woman is living in Delhi, but if she does not have a permanent address proof, then her Saheli Smart Card will not be issued.

How can you apply for this?

Let us tell you that women who are eligible to get Saheli Smart Card issued will have to register by visiting the official portal of Delhi Transport Corporation i.e. DTC https://dtc.delhi.gov.in/. Here you have to select the bank from which you want to get the card made.

After this, you will have to go to the bank and complete the KYC process with the Aadhar card. After this, the Saheli Smart Card will be sent to the home address by the bank. After receiving the card, it has to be activated. Which will be done through the Automatic Fare Collection System of DTC facility.
