However, sometimes, due to track repairs or station work, the Railways have to cancel some trains and reroute many others.

A similar situation is about to happen for passengers of South Eastern Railway. The Railways has decided to begin remodeling work at the Shalimar station yard, which will affect the operation of many trains for the next two weeks. Passengers should check their train status before traveling to avoid any inconvenience.

Several trains cancelled due to Shalimar Station yard remodeling

The railway administration has informed that remodeling work will be underway at the Shalimar Station yard from November 8th to November 24th. Due to this, several long-distance trains passing through the Chakradharpur Division of South Eastern Railway have been cancelled. A total of 10 express trains will be completely suspended during these dates. The railway has advised passengers to check their train status on the IRCTC website or through the railway enquiry number before planning their travel during these days.

These trains have been cancelled

• Train number 18030 Shalimar - Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Kurla Express is cancelled from November 13th to 21st.
• Train number 22830 Shalimar - Bhuj Superfast Express is cancelled on November 8th and 15th.
• Train number 22829 Bhuj - Shalimar Superfast Express is cancelled on November 11th and 18th.
• Train No. 15022 Gorakhpur - Shalimar Weekly Express is cancelled on November 10 and 17.
• Train No. 15021 Shalimar - Gorakhpur Weekly Express is cancelled on November 11 and 18.
• Train No. 18029 Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus - Shalimar Kurla Express is cancelled from November 11 to 19.
• Train No. 12151 Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus - Shalimar Samrasata Express is cancelled on November 12, 13, and 19.
• Train No. 12152 Shalimar - Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Samrasata Express is cancelled on November 14, 15, and 21.
• Train No. 20971 Udaipur City - Shalimar Superfast Express is cancelled on November 15.
• Train No. 20972 Shalimar - Udaipur City Superfast Express is cancelled on November 16.

Some trains will run on short routes

For the convenience of passengers, the Railways has decided to run some trains with short terminations and short originations instead of canceling them completely. This means that these trains will not reach their intended destination. Therefore, some trains will originate from a different station than their originating station.

The routes of these trains will change.

• Train No. 18049 Shalimar - Badampahar Weekly Express will run from Santragachi to Badampahar on November 8, 15, and 22.
• Train No. 18050 Badampahar - Shalimar Weekly Express will run to Santragachi on November 9, 16, and 23.
• Train No. 12101 Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus - Shalimar Gyaneshwari Express will run to Santragachi on November 18.
• Train No. 12102 Shalimar - Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Gyaneshwari Express will depart from Santragachi on November 20.
• Train No. 12905 Porbandar - Shalimar Superfast Express will depart from Santragachi on November 19.
• Train No. 12906 Shalimar - Porbandar Superfast Express will depart from Santragachi on November 21.
