1. Changes to the National Pension System (NPS):

From October 1st, non-government subscribers to the NPS can now invest up to 100% in equity under the Multiple Scheme Framework (MSF). Previously, this limit was 75%. Additionally, private sector employees will have to pay an e-PRAN kit fee of ₹18 and an annual maintenance charge of ₹100 to open a PRAN (Permanent Retirement Account Number). For Atal Pension Yojana (APY) and NPS Lite subscribers, the PRAN opening and maintenance charge will be ₹15. There will be no additional fees on transactions.

2. Changes in Railway Ticket Booking:

From October 1st, the first 15 minutes of railway reservation opening will be open only to those with Aadhaar verification. There will be no change for those purchasing tickets from PRS counters. Railway agents will not be able to book tickets for the first 10 minutes of reservation opening. This is intended to prevent fraud in ticket booking.

3. Online Gaming Rules:

Under the Online Gaming Bill 2025, starting October 1st, people under the age of 18 will not be able to participate in online real money gaming. Violations can result in a 3-year jail term and a fine of up to ₹1 crore. Promoters face a two-year jail term and a fine of ₹50 lakh.
