PM Kisan Yojana Details: Crores of farmers benefit from the PM Kisan Yojana. Many fail to update important information on time, resulting in delayed instalments.

PM Kisan Yojana Details: More than half of the country's population still supports their households through agriculture. However, many farmers are unable to earn a substantial income from farming. These marginal farmers are supported by the Government of India. The government has launched the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to provide financial assistance to farmers. To date, 21 instalments of this scheme have been released.

And now, farmers are awaiting the release of the 22nd installment. But even a small negligence on your part can impact the next installment. Many farmers assume that once they register, everything will be automatic. But this is not the case. A small mistake can delay the next installment.

Incorrect Aadhaar and Bank Details

Most farmers struggle with errors in Aadhaar and bank details. Incorrect names on the Aadhaar card, mismatched birth dates, or Aadhaar not being linked to the bank account can delay installment payments. Payments can also be delayed if the bank account has been closed or the IFSC has changed. Farmers often fail to update their KYC at their bank, resulting in failed transactions. To address these issues, it's crucial to timely update Aadhaar-bank linking, eKYC, and KYC. Also, ensure that the name and information in bank records match those in Aadhaar. Otherwise, the system will mismatch, resulting in a refund.

Errors in Land Records

One reason for installment delays is errors in land records. For many farmers, land records are not updated, or the name of the previous owner remains in the revenue records. This makes the system reluctant to consider the farmer eligible and prevents payments. If a family member's land has been transferred and you haven't updated the mutation, the information entered in the scheme is considered incorrect. Furthermore, farmers whose annual income exceeds the eligibility criteria or whose land is under dispute may face a delay in receiving their installment.

How to correct your mistakes?

If your installment is stuck, it's important to complete eKYC, re-update your bank details, and check the status on the PM Kisan portal. You can correct any mistakes immediately with the help of a CSC center or the Agriculture Department. The sooner the information is updated, the sooner the next installment will be released.
