Good news for youth seeking government jobs. The application deadline for teaching and non-teaching positions in Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas has been extended.
Good news for youth seeking government jobs. The application deadline for teaching and non-teaching positions in Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS) has been extended to December 11, 2025.
This recruitment process covers a total of 14,967 positions. These include 17 Assistant Commissioner positions, 227 Principal positions, and 58 Vice Principal positions. The teaching staff includes 1,483 PGT positions, 6,215 TGT positions, 147 Librarian positions, and 3,365 Primary Teacher (PRT) positions. Among the non-teaching staff, there are 1,155 positions for Administrative Officer, Finance Officer, ASO, Junior Translator, and Steno, while 787 positions for Junior Secretariat Assistant, Lab Attendant, and MTS will also be filled.
The eligibility criteria for each position vary. A master's degree with at least 50 percent marks and a B.Ed. are required to become an Assistant Commissioner. For the Principal and Vice Principal positions, a master's degree, a B.Ed., and 9 to 12 years of experience are mandatory. For TGT positions, a bachelor's degree in the relevant subject, a B.Ed., and CTET pass are required. For PRT and non-teaching positions, 12th, graduation, or a diploma are sufficient.
Age limits are also set according to the position. The maximum age is 50 years, with relaxation for reserved category candidates as per the rules.
Salary varies depending on the position. The salary for different posts will range from ₹78,800 to ₹2,09,200 per month. Benefits such as DA, HRA, medical, and pension will also be provided.
The application fee is also determined by the post and category. For the positions of Assistant Commissioner, Principal, and Vice Principal, candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories will have to pay ₹2,800, while others will have to pay ₹500. For the positions of PGT, TGT, PRT, and Librarian, general category candidates will have to pay ₹2,000, while others will have to pay ₹500. For the positions of Junior Secretariat Assistant, Steno, Lab Attendant, and MTS, general category candidates will have to pay ₹1,700, while others will have to pay ₹500. For SC, ST, differently-abled, and ex-servicemen candidates, the fee will be only ₹500 per post.
The selection process will be conducted in three stages: a preliminary exam, a main exam, and finally an interview. Candidates who pass all three stages will be granted final joining. The preliminary exam will consist of 100 questions carrying a total of 300 marks. Questions will be asked from general reasoning, numeric ability, basic computer science, general knowledge, English, and one modern Indian language.
