The Way of Learning in Jharkhand’s Universities is Set to Change—How Will Students Benefit?
Jharkhand Higher Education Update: The Jharkhand government is set to transform higher education in the state by making it digital and fully high-tech. Digital studios and 'J-Talks' podcast rooms will be established in all state-run universities, while constituent colleges will be equipped with interactive smart classrooms. A team from BCIL—an agency under the Government of India—will visit various universities between October 26 and 30 to conduct a technical survey for this initiative.
Jharkhand Higher Education Digital Initiative: A major effort is underway to equip Jharkhand’s higher education institutions with modern technology. The state government aims to make the infrastructure of its universities and colleges high-tech and digitally advanced. As part of this, modern digital studios and 'J-Talks' podcast rooms will be set up in all state-run universities.
Additionally, one classroom in every constituent college will be developed into a fully interactive smart classroom. Dr. Vibha Pandey, Deputy Director of the Department of Higher and Technical Education (Jharkhand State Council of Higher Education), has issued an official letter regarding this to the registrars of all state-run universities.
Elevating E-Content and the Learning Management System (LMS)
In collaboration with CSC-SPV, the government has already developed a Learning Management System (LMS). These digital studios are being planned to ensure the effective use of this system and to facilitate the creation of high-quality e-content at the university level.
With the establishment of these studios and podcast rooms, professors and subject experts will be able to record high-quality video lectures and audio podcasts. This will enable college students, even those in remote areas, to easily access digital study materials from the comfort of their own homes. BECIL Team to Visit Universities from October 26 to 30
