It is the dream of every student to get admission to DU and now that dream is going to become a reality. With the start of the admission process, a new journey is going to start for the students.

Today is going to be a special day for lakhs of students who dream of studying in Delhi University (DU). The first phase of admission to undergraduate (UG) courses in the academic session 2025-26 is going to start from today. After a long wait, now the picture is going to be clear about the admission process in DU.

CSAS portal will be inaugurated today

Delhi University Vice Chancellor Prof. Yogesh Singh will give information about the admission process, policies and schedule through a press conference today. Along with this, the first phase of the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal will also be launched, which is the first step of UG admissions. Although the portal will not be fully operational on Tuesday, the process will definitely start.

85,000 seats will be available for admission

About 85,000 seats are available in 79 undergraduate courses in 69 colleges of DU. These include popular courses like BA, BCom, BSc. Admission to these seats will be based on CUET score, as was done last year.

How to apply?

In the first phase, students will have to register themselves by visiting the CSAS portal. For this, they will have to fill their 12th class mark sheet, personal information, email ID and mobile number. Most important thing - students will have to fill the application number of CUET-UG, so that their photo, signature and other information will be automatically uploaded on the portal.

Second phase will be after CUET result

The process of the second phase will start after the results of CUET-UG are out. Then the students will have to log in to the portal and fill their course and college preference. Seats will be allotted on this basis.

This time admission started late

Last year, DU started the admission process in the last week of May, but this time the process has been delayed due to some technical reasons. Earlier it was expected that applications would start from last week, but due to some technical problems it had to be postponed.

Important advice for students

Students who scored well in CUET should register on the portal as soon as possible.

While filling the form, keep all the documents ready and fill only the correct information.

Read all the guidelines given on the portal carefully.
