This scheme is known as the 'Mukhyamantri Krishak Chhatravritti Yojana' (Chief Minister's Farmers' Scholarship Scheme). Under this scheme, financial assistance is provided to meritorious children of farmers and agricultural laborers.

**₹5,000 per month instead of ₹3,000**
Previously, the government provided ₹3,000 under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Chhatravritti Yojana. However, the amount has now been increased by ₹2,000, and ₹5,000 is being provided monthly. This benefit is available to eligible students belonging to farming and agricultural labor families within the state. The primary objective of the scheme is to ensure that the education of farmers' children is not interrupted for any reason.

**Conditions for availing the Mukhyamantri Krishak Chhatravritti Yojana**
The government has laid down certain conditions to avail the benefits of this scheme. To qualify, the beneficiary student's parents must be farmers or registered agricultural laborers. Furthermore, the student must be a native resident of UP; migrants from other states are not eligible. The student must be meritorious and currently pursuing their education. Additional criteria include academic performance: for the undergraduate scholarship, a student must have secured at least 70% marks in the Class 12 examination from the UP Board (or 85% from other boards), while a minimum of 70% marks in graduation is required for the postgraduate scholarship.

**Required Documents**
Certain documents are also required for this scheme. A permanent residence certificate for Uttar Pradesh is mandatory. Additionally, applicants must provide an income certificate, proof of status as a farmer or laborer, the mark sheet from the student's previous class, and bank account details.

**How ​​to Avail the Benefit**
To avail the benefits of the Chief Minister's Farmers' Scholarship Scheme (*Mukhyamantri Krishak Chhatravritti Yojana*), students must apply upon meeting the eligibility criteria. Application forms can be obtained from the student's college, the local administrative office, or the *Mandi Samiti* (Market Committee) office. After filling in the required details, attach the necessary documents—such as residence and income certificates, educational credentials, and the prescribed eligibility certificate from the *Mandi Parishad* (Market Council). Have the form verified by the school or college principal or the designated nodal officer, then submit it to the nearest regional council office or scholarship counter and retain the acknowledgment receipt.
