The stock market is witnessing a powerful rally today. The Sensex has jumped more than 1,000 points, while the Nifty is also surging upward—a momentum largely driven by Reliance shares.

The week has begun on a strong note for the stock market. The 30-share BSE Sensex has climbed over 1,000 points to reach the 75,444 level, while the Nifty is trading at 23,325, up by 272 points. Reliance shares are leading this market rally.

During early trading today, Reliance shares surged by 6%, reaching a price of ₹1,238.10. This follows Reliance Industries' announcement of a significant 41% year-on-year (YoY) increase in its consolidated net profit for the July-September quarter (Q2 FY27), which rose to ₹25,548 crore. Consequently, investors are betting heavily on the stock today, and this surge in Reliance shares is playing a key role in driving the broader market higher.

Other stocks also see gains.

In addition to Reliance, shares of Tata Steel, NTPC, and Maruti are seeing gains of 4.24%, 3.28%, and 2.69%, respectively. Driven by the simultaneous rise in these major stocks, the Nifty Metal, Auto, and Energy indices are performing exceptionally well. Meanwhile, buying activity from Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) has also been observed during the morning trading session, providing a strong floor for the market.
