North India Train Cancelled News: Due to poor train visibility during the fog season, the Railways has temporarily suspended services on several long-route routes. Check the train list.

North India Train Cancelled News: Fog makes its impact felt every year in North India as winter sets in, and the Railways are the biggest victims. Dense fog reduces train speeds, makes signals less visible, and many long-distance express trains are running late by hours. This is why, instead of waiting, the Railways took a major decision early. Several trains are being temporarily cancelled between December and February.

To ensure passenger safety, avoid unnecessary congestion on the rail network, and delay train operations. This is reflected in the recently released list of East Central Railway. A total of 48 trains have been cancelled for various dates from December 1, 2025, to March 3, 2026. Check out the list.

Cancelled Trains for This Reason

In winter, fog becomes so dense that it's nearly impossible for trains to see the tracks clearly. This situation requires reducing speeds, and timing is completely disrupted. The key issue here is safety, as even a slight mismatch in low visibility can lead to a major accident.

For this reason, the Railways pauses some long-distance trains every year during this season to reduce the load on the network and allow other trains to operate in a more controlled and safe manner. The same system has been adopted this time, resulting in the temporary cancellation of several trains.
