In the year 2018, the Government of India started the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana for farmers. Under this scheme, beneficiary farmers are given Rs 6000 annually.
This amount is given to the farmers at an interval of 4-4 months. This money is sent directly to the farmers' account through DBT i.e. Direct Benefit Transfer.
