The Central Government is offering incentives to first-time employees under the 'Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana'. Under this scheme, eligible employees will receive financial assistance of up to ₹15,000. This amount will be transferred directly to the employee's bank account linked to their Aadhaar. Who can avail the benefits of this scheme?
The benefits of this scheme will be available only to employees who have entered formal employment for the first time and have registered with the EPFO ​​for the first time.

The employee's employment at an establishment must commence between August 1, 2025, and July 31, 2027.

Additionally, the employee must not have been a member of the EPFO ​​or any exempted trust before August 1, 2025.

Furthermore, the employee's monthly salary must be ₹1 lakh or less. This includes all wages and allowances as per the employment contract.

How much is the amount, and how will it be received?
The incentive provided by the government will be equivalent to one month's EPF wages, subject to a maximum limit of ₹15,000. This amount will be disbursed in two installments.

The first installment will be released after the employee completes six months of continuous service with the same establishment.

The second installment will be provided upon the completion of 12 months of employment. This second installment will be deposited into a savings instrument to encourage a savings habit among employees.

What must be done to avail the benefits of the scheme?
First, the employee must possess a Universal Account Number (UAN).

Next, the employee must work continuously in the same establishment for at least six months.

To receive the second installment, the employee must also complete a free financial literacy program provided by the government before the completion of the 12-month period. In such a case, if you are employed in a job covered by the EPF for the first time and meet all the eligibility criteria, you can avail the benefits of this scheme.
