The government is offering ₹10 lakh interest-free to the youth of Rajasthan. Find out who can benefit.
The Rajasthan government has launched the Chief Minister's Youth Self-Employment Scheme for youth. The objective of this scheme is not only to provide jobs, but also to provide new opportunities for self-employment.
In today's world, every youth aspires to create their own jobs and start their own businesses. However, most are held back due to a lack of funds. This is why the Rajasthan government has launched the Chief Minister's Youth Self-Employment Scheme for youth. The objective of this scheme is not only to provide jobs, but also to provide new opportunities for self-employment and help them start their own businesses.
Under this scheme, youth in Rajasthan can avail loans up to ₹10 lakh interest-free. This means they will not have to pay any interest to the bank. This scheme began on January 11, 2026, and will continue until March 31, 2029. The Department of Industry and Commerce is responsible for implementing it.
Objective of the Chief Minister's Youth Self-Employment Scheme
The primary objective of this scheme is to encourage youth to start their own businesses instead of chasing jobs. To achieve this, the government is not only providing loans but also covering the margin money and the CGTMSE guarantee fee. Under the scheme, funds will be provided to start new businesses or expand existing ones in manufacturing, services, and various other sectors. Institutional applicants (such as HUFs, societies, LLP firms, companies, and self-help groups) can also apply, and importantly, no bank guarantee is required.
Who can apply?
There are certain eligibility criteria for applying for the Chief Minister's Youth Self-Employment Scheme. The age requirement is between 18 and 45 years. If a company or organization is applying, it must be registered. At least 51 percent of the organization's shares must be held by people between 18 and 45 years of age. A person who has previously defaulted on a bank loan will not receive the loan. Interest subsidy will be provided only on the first loan. If you own a commercial vehicle worth more than ₹15 lakh, you will not receive a loan. Loans will not be available for businesses or activities banned by the state or central government. If you are receiving benefits from an NGO or trust, you will not be eligible for the scheme.
How much will the loan amount be?
The loan amount depends on your educational qualifications and business type. If you have studied from 8th to 12th grade, you can get a maximum loan of ₹7.5 lakh for manufacturing and ₹3.5 lakh for service or business, along with 10 percent of the loan amount or a maximum of ₹35,000 as margin money.
Applicants with graduate or ITI qualifications and above will receive a loan of up to ₹10 lakh for manufacturing and ₹5 lakh for business, with a margin money of 10 percent of the loan amount or a maximum of ₹50,000. Margin money is a type of short-term deposit that is kept safe for two years. If you successfully run your business for two years and pay EMIs on time, this money is transferred to your account.
