Health is a vital aspect of everyone's life. Therefore, many people carry health insurance. However, not everyone has the funds to purchase health insurance. Such individuals are provided with assistance from the government.

The central government runs the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Yojana, which provides free treatment up to ₹5 lakh to all eligible individuals. However, this scheme is still not implemented in many states. However, separate state-level health schemes are in place in these states.

Recently, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced the launch of the new Chief Minister's Health Scheme for the people of Punjab. Under this scheme, all needy people in the state will receive cashless treatment up to ₹10 lakh.

Although this scheme has not yet been implemented statewide, it has been implemented in Barnala and Tarn Taran districts since September 23rd. Therefore, the registration process has begun. Camps are being organized by the government for this purpose.

The government stated that registration for the health scheme will be completed in Barnala and Tarn Taran districts within 10-12 days. Following this, feedback will be collected, and any improvements required will be made.

Following this, registration for the Chief Minister's Health Scheme will begin throughout Punjab. After this, the scheme will be officially implemented across the state. People are wondering what the eligibility criteria for this scheme will be.

Regarding this, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann stated that everyone will receive the Chief Minister's Health Card, including government employees, ASHA workers, and Anganwadi workers. Through this scheme, every family in Punjab will receive health insurance of ₹10 lakh.
