PM Kisan 21st Installment e-KYC: The central government has announced that the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme will be released on November 19, 2025. Under this installment, an amount of ₹2,000 will be sent directly to the account of every eligible farmer family through DBT. The government's effort is to ensure that no farmer faces any problems receiving the funds and that the money reaches the correct account. Therefore, you need to take some necessary steps to ensure you don't face any problems receiving the 21st installment.
Why is e-KYC necessary?
The government has clearly stated that if farmers want their installments on time, they must keep all e-KYC records, including bank accounts, correct and updated. Farmers whose bank accounts are not linked to Aadhaar or whose land records are not updated on the PM-KISAN portal may face difficulties receiving their installments.
How to perform e-KYC and what is the easiest way?
Farmers can complete their e-KYC from the comfort of their homes by visiting the PM-KISAN portal or app. If their mobile number is linked to Aadhaar, verification is done instantly via OTP. Those without a linked mobile number can visit the nearest CSC center and complete e-KYC using their fingerprint. Farmers with smartphones can also complete e-KYC using a face authentication app. After verification, the status is updated within a day or two.
How to check the status?
Farmers can easily check their name and payment status by visiting the “Farmers Corner” or logging into the PM-KISAN mobile app. The government has also launched the Kisan-eMitra chatbot, which helps farmers in 11 languages, whether checking their status or filing a complaint.
What benefits do farmers gain from this?
Under this scheme, launched in 2019, more than ₹3.70 lakh crore has been disbursed to more than 11 crore farmer families so far. The government's goal is to ensure that financial assistance reaches every eligible farmer without any hassle.
