Sometimes, you might not even remember where you last put it. Searching for the phone can take hours, often requiring you to ask around. However, thanks to technology and AI, it is now possible to locate your phone within minutes. One such incident involved a person who lost their phone at the office; the company's Mobile Device Management (MDM) system had disabled the 'Find My' feature. After searching everywhere for 30 minutes without success, the person finally managed to locate the phone using Bluetooth.

**Created a Bluetooth Signal Meter Based on AI's Suggestion**
When unable to find the phone, the individual asked the AI ​​assistant 'Claude' for advice on how to locate it. Claude suggested tracking the Bluetooth signal strength. Within about a minute, the user created a functional signal meter. By walking around and monitoring the signal readings, they eventually found the phone.

The person also created a video demonstrating how the tool works once it picks up the Bluetooth signal. They have made the entire tool open-source.

**How ​​the Bluetooth Signal Tool Works**
The device scans for nearby Bluetooth devices and displays signal strength in real-time. A 'hunt mode' allows you to track a specific device by name. When sound is enabled, the clicking noise intensifies as you get closer (similar to parking sensors). It operates via the command line, requiring no apps, external dependencies, or the 'Find My' feature.

The signal strength gives you an idea of ​​the phone's location—whether it is within arm's reach, on the same table, in the same room, or further away. You walk slowly, watching the signal bar change, and locate the right spot.
