In the latest incident, an investigation by the Vigilance Department in Buxar district caught five teachers red-handed while they were employed using fake certificates.
The Vigilance Department has registered an FIR against all five teachers at the respective local police stations. A comprehensive report on the action taken has been submitted to the District Education Office. Upon receiving this report, the District Education Officer (DEO) office has initiated further steps, and letters have been sent to the relevant appointing authorities (recruitment units) to proceed with further action against these teachers.
Investigation Exposes Fraud: Forged Documents Submitted During Recruitment
The Vigilance Department has been conducting a long-term review of the files and certificates of appointed teachers. During the investigation, when the teachers' TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) and academic documents were verified with the respective boards and universities, they were found to be completely forged. These documents had been submitted by the teachers at the time of their recruitment to secure the positions.
DPO (Establishment) Rajnish Jha confirmed that, following the receipt of the communication from the Vigilance Department, instructions were issued to the recruitment units to take necessary action. In addition to the registration of an FIR, the process for the termination (dismissal) of these teachers will now commence. Furthermore, the department is preparing to recover the entire salary paid to these individuals to date.
