SUBHADRA Yojana: Girls and women seen rushing for Aadhaar correction
The massive crowd was seen at Seva Kendras in Soro of Balasore district of Odisha today. Mainly women, men, and even teenagers were seen rushing to post offices and Seva Kendras for last-minute correction in their Aadhaar cards, which is an essential part of the much-awaited Subhadra Yojana. The special scheme for women, in which all eligible women will get the first installment of Rs 5000 this September 17, has gained immense popularity and the family members of Subhadra beneficiaries are sweating it out to get the Aadhaar of the women updated properly.
Long queues were seen in front of Jan Seva Kendras and post offices in Soro of Balasore. Reportedly, people queued up since night for Aadhaar correction.
After the formation of the new BJP government in the state, there has been an effort to empower women through the Subhadra Yojana. Aadhaar correction is an important part of this scheme.
Hence, long queues have been seen in front of various Jan Seva Kendras and post offices here. Some have to link their mobile number, while some women have to get their names corrected.
Even some people have complained that the owners of the service centers are earning a good amount from this.
A stampede-like situation has been seen in a video where men, women, and even some children or teenagers are seen rushing into the post office with their documents after making their way through the crowded iron gate. Though there is no report of anyone getting injured so far, a huge crowd has been seen.
