If you are preparing for competitive exams, this is excellent news for you. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has announced that the MPPSC exam will be conducted twice a year.

The Madhya Pradesh government has announced the launch of free coaching for competitive exams in government colleges across every district of the state. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav announced several key decisions concerning the youth during the 'CM Youth Conclave-2026' held at Bhopal's Lal Parade Ground on October 6. This government decision is particularly significant for students who cannot afford expensive private coaching but are preparing for competitive exams.

Proper guidance, consistent study, and an understanding of the exam pattern are crucial when preparing for competitive exams. In this context, free coaching provided through government colleges can offer students an excellent opportunity to prepare within their own districts. Here are the details regarding the announcements made by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.

Less Need to Travel to Big Cities

Students from small towns and rural areas often have to travel to major cities like Bhopal and Indore to prepare for competitive exams. This entails expenses for rent, hostel accommodation, food, and other necessities, in addition to coaching fees. The provision of free coaching in government colleges across every district will allow students to prepare within their own localities. This move will be especially helpful for families who find it difficult to bear the cost of private coaching.

Major Benefit for MPPSC Aspirants

The government has not limited its announcement to free coaching alone; the Chief Minister has also declared that the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) exam will be held twice a year. The aim is to provide youth with more opportunities to compete for government jobs. Currently, the MPPSC exam is conducted only once a year, meaning that missing a single attempt results in a long wait. Holding the exam twice a year will give candidates more opportunities to take the test when they are ready.

2027 to be the ‘Year of Youth’

The Chief Minister has announced that the year 2027 will be observed as the ‘Year of Youth’. The government's plan will focus on expanding opportunities for the youth in the areas of employment, skill development, and education. Emphasis will also be placed on making young people self-reliant through job-oriented courses. Furthermore, a plan has been outlined to enhance opportunities for the youth across multiple levels—ranging from preparation for competitive examinations to higher education, research, skill development, and employment.

Major Announcement for Research Scholars

Significant announcements were also made for students involved in higher education and research during the CM Youth Conclave. It was announced that the monthly scholarship for research scholars would be increased from ₹16,000 to ₹25,000. Additionally, plans were revealed to set up AI and advanced computing labs in government colleges. To foster innovation and startup ideas among the youth, the government will also establish an ‘Idea Fund’ worth ₹5 crore.
