Starlink: Elon Musk's Starlink gets a license for satellite internet service in India..

There were discussions going on for a long time about satellite service in India and now it seems that satellite internet service is going to start in India soon. According to sources, Elon Musk's company Starlink has got a license from the Government of India. After getting this license, it can be said that the wait for satellite internet service is now coming to an end. Musk's company received the Letter of Intent last month, and now the GMPCS license has also been issued by the government.
Sources say that the Department of Telecommunications of the Government of India on Friday granted Starlink a license to start service in the country, which is an important achievement for the company. It is noteworthy that this is the third company to get a license from the Government of India for satellite internet service so far. Earlier Jio and Airtel also received this license. Before getting the license, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia had said that Starlink could get the license soon.
After getting the GMPCS license, Starlink has only one final challenge left — it has to get final approval from IN-SPACe to start service in India. After this approval, consumers will be able to take advantage of satellite-based internet service. However, there is no clear information about the time taken for this final approval yet.
It is also worth noting that Elon Musk has been trying to enter Starlink in India since 2022, and finally, the company has now got its license. Also, Amazon's company Kuiper is also active in the field of satellite internet service in India, which has applied to the Government of India for this.
How much will Starlink Plans cost?
According to media reports, Starlink will provide plans with unlimited data at an initial price of $ 10 (about Rs 840) under the promotional offer in India. It would be a bit early to say whether this strategy of Starlink to attract customers will be successful or not because even though the plans may be cheap, a device costing thousands of rupees can spoil the mood of the customers. In India, a situation like a price war is seen between the companies, which benefits the customers. In such a situation, it is expected that people will benefit from the competition between the companies.
