The Ministry stated that Inland Speed Post charges were last revised in October 2012. Speed Post charges have now been rationally revised to maintain continuous improvements, meet rising operational expenses, and invest in innovation.
What is OTP-based delivery?
Under this service, goods will be delivered to the recipient only after the OTP (one-time password) shared with the delivery staff is successfully confirmed. This added-value service will cost ₹5 per Speed Post item plus applicable GST.
These will receive discounts.
Students using Speed Post will also receive discounts. The Ministry stated that students will receive a 10% discount on Speed Post charges. New bulk customers will receive a special 5% discount.
