SpaceX successfully launched 26 new satellites on Thursday night (June 12), further strengthening its Starlink internet network. The launch was done at 6:24 am on June 13 from Launch Complex 4 East (SLC-4E) at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. All these satellites will be deployed in orbit from the second stage of the rocket within about an hour and a minute. With this launch, the total number of Starlink's active satellites has now exceeded 7,600.

Falcon 9 booster used for the 15th time

In this mission, SpaceX used its first-stage booster B1081, which had already flown 14 times. This booster successfully landed in the Pacific Ocean on a drone ship named "Of Course, I Still Love You", which was stationed off the coast of Southern California. SpaceX's record in repeatedly flying Falcon 9 boosters has now reached 28 times, which also proves its launch efficiency. This mission was the 72nd launch of the Falcon 9, 53 of which were for Starlink missions alone.

Expanding global internet coverage
The Starlink network aims to provide high-speed internet around the world, especially in remote areas. Recently, some of its satellites have also started providing texting and limited data connections directly to mobile phones, which work with select network providers and smartphones. Elon Musk's SpaceX is constantly expanding the network's coverage and reliable service by launching more satellites. This is also allowing small satellite dishes and mobile phones to connect to real-time internet in dozens of countries.

Foundation of Future Technologies
SpaceX is not only expanding internet access but also laying the foundation for next-generation services, such as internet in flight and emergency communications solutions. More than 7,600 satellites are already active in Earth orbit and dozens more launches are proposed in the coming time.
