What to do if you miss the train?

For this, they will have to contact the TTE with the same ticket. If the TTE gives the available seat, then they can travel further without any problem. The thing to be kept in mind is that this facility is available only to those passengers whose tickets are confirmed. This facility is not given to those with waiting tickets.

Will there be no refund?

If you miss your train for some reason, then the first question that comes to mind is whether the money for the ticket will be refunded. According to railway rules, if the reason for missing the train is the delay of the passenger, then full refund is not given. However, passengers with confirmed tickets can file TDR i.e. Ticket Deposit Receipt through railway counter or online medium within the next two hours of the train leaving.

Through this process, a partial refund can be obtained. However, if the train is cancelled or the train is missed due to the railway's mistake, then a full refund is given. Therefore, it is important to be aware of these rules while booking tickets and take immediate action in case you miss the train. Otherwise, if the time runs out, you may lose the chance of getting a refund.
