Silver Price Today: Fluctuations in silver prices are being observed in the international market due to the renewed conflict between the US and Iran, a trend that is directly impacting India's bullion market. In fact, silver prices began to rise again as the market opened today (July 20, 2026). Notably, silver futures on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) climbed 1.38%—an increase of ₹2,979—to reach ₹2,19,382 per kilogram during early trading. In the previous trading session, silver had closed at ₹2,16,403 per kilogram. Silver has also gained momentum in the international market, with the spot price reaching $57.37 per ounce. Meanwhile, bullion market rates place the price of silver at ₹2,19,980 per kilogram.

According to the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA), the price of silver was recorded at ₹2,15,474 per kilogram on Monday morning, whereas GoodReturns reports the price has risen to ₹2,30,000 per kilogram. Why did silv er prices rise?

Market experts state that investors are turning towards precious metals due to escalating tensions in West Asia and global uncertainty. Additionally, rising demand for silver in industries such as solar panels and electronics, fluctuations in the dollar, and expectations of interest rate cuts have also bolstered prices.

What was the silver price previously?

Last Friday, a significant drop in silver prices was recorded in the Delhi bullion market due to subdued local demand. According to the All India Bullion Association, the price of silver fell by ₹2,000 to close at ₹2,22,500 per kilogram (inclusive of all taxes). In the previous trading session, the price stood at ₹2,24,500 per kilogram. Silver also lost its shine in the international market; the spot silver price fell to $55.37 per ounce.
