This special 16-night, 17-day journey departed from Delhi's Safdarjung Railway Station on March 30, 2026. During this 16-night, 17-day itinerary, the train will make stops at renowned destinations such as Ayodhya, Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Janakpur, Buxar, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Shringaverpur, Chitrakoot, Nashik, Hampi, and Rameswaram.

This journey is being conducted aboard Indian Railways' Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train.' The objective is to promote religious tourism by offering luxury amenities. According to officials from the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the train is fully equipped with modern facilities. Passengers have a choice of three types of coaches: First AC, Second AC, and Third AC.

The Shri Ramayana Yatra will cover a distance of approximately 7,560 kilometers. This journey will encompass sacred sites associated with the life and travels of Lord Shri Ram, as described in the *Ramayana*. The itinerary includes several major religious landmarks:

**Ayodhya and Nandigram:** Here, pilgrims will visit the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Hanuman Garhi, Ram Ki Paidi (Saryu Ghat), and the Bharat Temple.

**Bihar and Nepal:** The tour covers Sitamarhi (the birthplace of Goddess Sita) and Janakpur (located in Nepal), to which travelers will be transported by road.

**Varanasi and Prayagraj:** Highlights include the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Corridor, the Tulsi Temple, the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple, and the grand evening Ganga Aarti.

**Central and South India:** The itinerary features Nashik (Trimbakeshwar Temple, Panchavati), Hampi (ancient Kishkindha), and Rameswaram (Ramanathaswamy Temple, Dhanushkodi).
