LPG Cylinder Scam Alert: Do you use LPG cylinders at home? If so, this news is important for you. People often book their next cylinder before the current one runs out so that the replacement arrives by the time the first one is empty. However, imagine if the delivered cylinder contains less gas than it should; you would effectively be paying the full price for less gas than the stipulated quantity. A video recently went viral on social media showing a person highlighting such an irregularity with an LPG cylinder.
What is in the viral video?
In the viral video, a person claims there is a discrepancy regarding the cylinder's weight. The video shows "15.6" written in white paint on the cylinder; the person then rubs the written number with a scrubber. Upon doing so, the figure "15.6" disappears, revealing "15.0" underneath.
