December Train Cancellations: This news is important for passengers planning to travel by train in the last week of December. The railways have decided to commence major technical upgrade work on key routes passing through certain states. This step has been taken to enhance passenger safety and improve train operations in the future. Due to this, several passenger and MEMU trains running on this route will be temporarily cancelled between December 26 and December 29, 2025.

Non-interlocking upgrade work will be carried out in the Dongargarh section of the Nagpur railway division under the South East Central Railway. This will affect approximately 21 trains. The railways have advised passengers to check the train status before traveling to avoid last-minute problems.

Trains Cancelled Due to This Reason

Keeping in mind passenger safety and better facilities, the railways have started large-scale upgrade work on this route. Due to this technical work, approximately 21 passenger and MEMU trains will be affected between December 26 and December 29, 2025, and have been temporarily cancelled.

Non-interlocking upgrade work is being carried out in the Dongargarh section of the Nagpur division of the South East Central Railway. During this time, the extra loop line will be connected to the up line, and the signaling system will be modernized.
