Schools in this district will remain closed every Monday-Saturday throughout Sawan. The government of this state has taken a big decision.
Every Monday, all government and private schools in the district will remain closed. However, to compensate for these holidays, the concerned schools have been instructed to conduct classes on Sunday.

All schools in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, will remain closed every Monday during the month of Sawan. This decision has been taken by the district administration keeping in mind the safety of the students and traffic control due to the upcoming Kanwar Yatra and religious activities. Ujjain Collector Roshan Kumar Singh has issued an official order in this regard. According to the information received from the Collector's office, this decision will be in force from July 14 to August 19, that is, every Monday during the period of Sawan month, all government and private schools in Ujjain district will remain closed. However, to compensate for these holidays, the concerned schools have been instructed to conduct classes on Sunday, so that there is no disruption in the academic session.
Schools will remain closed in these districts
The administration has clarified that this decision has been taken only for the convenience of the students and to maintain the traffic system, so that the students do not face any problem in any kind of crowd or unexpected situation. Especially in those areas where there are more Kanwar Yatra and religious events during Sawan, the traffic pressure remains very high from morning to evening. Apart from this, an order has been issued to close schools in many districts of Uttar Pradesh like Badaun, Bareilly, Varanasi on Monday as well as Saturday during Sawan. As per the order of the DM, students are getting leave on Saturday–Monday, while teachers and staff will remain at work.
The step was taken due to this, the opposition attacked
It is worth mentioning that every Monday in the month of Sawan, a large number of devotees come to Mahakaleshwar temple for darshan. Apart from this, Kanwar Yatras also pass through various routes of the district, which affects traffic. Keeping this in mind, it has been decided to keep the schools closed, but opposition leaders have attacked the administration and the government over this and said that this is a bias in favour of a particular religion and a question mark on traditional secularism.
