As we all know the weather starts changing in October, and the air starts feeling a little cold, due to which the morning and evening feel cold, and mild heat is felt during the day. Due to this weather change, there are changes in the school timings of many states of the country, let's know in which states the school time has changed-

New school timings in Punjab

From October 1, the Punjab Education Department has officially announced changes in school timings. This change will affect more than 19,000 schools across the state:

Primary schools: 8:30 am to 2:30 pm

Senior secondary schools: 8:30 am to 2:50 pm

These new timings are aimed at keeping pace with the cold weather, to ensure a better learning environment for the students. The education department has issued formal orders, mandating all schools to follow this schedule.

Uncertainty in Rajasthan

The situation in Rajasthan remains uncertain. Traditionally, schools in the state change their timings from October 1 to 10 am to 4 pm. This year, teachers' unions have raised concerns over continuing with the earlier schedule of 7:30 am to 1 pm due to the persistent heat.

Teachers' unions are advocating for postponing the new timings till October 15, so that the weather can cool down. The education department is yet to finalize this year's timings, which are expected to be announced on September 30.

In 2022 and 2023, school timings remained unchanged at 7:30 am to 1 pm, and a similar result is expected this year.
