Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has taken an important decision regarding mobile calling. After the introduction of this feature, it will become almost difficult for users to get cheated. In this new feature, whenever someone calls you, his name will also be visible along with the number. In simple words, this feature works just like Truecaller.

TRAI has instructed telecom companies to take permission for this. Once permission is granted, users will see the number along with the name on their mobile screen. This will also apply to situations where the caller is unknown. This feature will help reduce the possibility of scams. TRAI has named this feature Calling Name Presentation (CNAP). This facility will be provided by the telecom companies subject to the consent of the users.

This will help telecom consumers to identify who is actually calling them. This will make it easier for users to decide whether to answer the call or not. CNAP will also help prevent spam calls and fraud.

On February 23, TRAI recommended the government to launch CNAP services, saying that third-party apps like Truecaller and India Caller ID that provide features for caller identification and spam detection may not be reliable. Are. According to TRAI, telecom operators will have to maintain a database of phone numbers of customers along with their names.
